About Stacey Moran

Born and raised in a small country town called Macarthur in Western Victoria, just South of Hamilton, I was always a girl with a big vision. I grew up on a sheep farm and was lucky enough to attend the local primary school there. With a population of just around 300 people, Macarthur has always been all about the local community and keeping an eye out for our neighbours. From a very young age, I learned the importance of the community you live in, the value of growing up in a small town, and the reward of hard work.

After completing my sixth grade, it came to my attention that the closest town for secondary school was an hour away by bus. But that didn’t faze me. I went on to finish year 12 in Hamilton. Soon after, I moved to Melbourne where I started a job at ‘Going, Going, Gone’ in Richmond. This sparked my love of homeware buying and product management, which saw me work for companies like House & Playcorp, and eventually, became the start of my life-long career.

After having children, travelling for work became a challenge, so I started my own business, Mini Party People, a children’s furniture hire business. I also began my second business Moran Property Styling (MPS) – furniture hire and styling services for the home-seller. We have been lucky to work with some of the best agents in the Stonnington area and cherish those bonds bound by community spirit.

With both my businesses being start-ups, I fully understand the stress and the journey that you undertake when you have a dream of starting your own business. With MPS, we now employ around 14 people of different ages and are especially proud of our younger staff who are under 25. I’m fully aware of the struggles that the younger generation are under currently.

I moved to the city of Stonnington in 2000, when I moved in with my now-husband James, with whom I share 2 very active children; Boston (age 12) and Orlando (age 8). Oh, and a couple of fur children. Our dogs also love walking with us in the parks & gardens in the Stonnington area.

Raising children in this day and age is a struggle and a joy. The pressure of our family life has so many challenges. We are all trying to balance children, relationships and work. Keeping all the balls in the air is sometimes stressful but also rewarding. My family life and the wellbeing of our children has always been the most important part of life. I am also aware personally of the challenges and additional stress that you can face when your child has an issue.

I’m an avid walker – my smartwatch tracks my walks around our suburbs every day. To me, there is nothing better than walking amongst our beautiful streets and parks. We have some of the best cafés and restaurants in Melbourne, which means whether it’s grabbing a quick coffee or walking through our galleries, we are in awe every time. We are so lucky to have so much at our doorstep.

My interests are varied, from playing some casual tennis with friends throughout the week, to watching my children participate in their different sports activities. I value spending time as a family, or with our wide circle of friends as I am a people person at heart. I’m also lucky to meet so many new people at work all the time and to view amazing properties around the clock.
